Hossein and Taha are the creative hands behind the products made in Zand Kitchen. Hossein’s background and experience is as a food technologist, working for dairy giant Fonterra. Taha, studied cookery and is the main chef of their household, especially for dinner parties. With such a vast knowledge of cooking and experience in food production, Hossein and Taha have used their talent and background to make sides that people will love.
They both have a genuine passion for food. They love to entertain, and nothing makes them happier than to see people enjoying their food.

Originating from Ancient Rome, India and China, condiments were often used to improve the taste of spoiling food before food preservation techniques were known. Today, condiments are used to compliment and enhance the food we eat.
The history of Zand Kitchen’s complimentary sauces and mayo lies back in their hometown of Shiraz in Iran. A family member opened a local eatery serving hot dogs and sandwiches. Hossein then experimented with hot sauces and mayonnaise to compliment the food and it was so popular customers would complain if their sauces and spreads weren’t available!
